Star Wars Clone Trooper Cake - July 2011

I made this Star Wars Clone Trooper cake for my daughter, Cara's, 12th birthday.

The construction of this cake was done very similarly to both the Spider-Man cake (instructions in post) and the Ewok cake that I made previously.  [For this clone trooper cake I used cake for the head though instead of a non-edible material like I used for the other cakes.]

More pictures and details to come... :)

Chocolate and Vanilla Cake Balls - July 2011

I made these chocolate and vanilla cake balls with some cake and icing that I had leftover from my sister's Gone with the Wind cake (see post Have Some Cake Before It's Gone With the Wind...).

Chocolate and Vanilla Cake Balls

I made different combinations of the two flavors inside.

My kids thought the inside of the one above on the right looked like a white bunny head.  :)

More details later... but for now... to make these cake balls I basically followed the instructions found on Bakerella's website for her cake balls.  I just adjusted the ratio for the amount of cake I had leftover and mixed the two different flavors of cake together for some of the cake balls.

Golf Ball Cheesecake Balls - June 2011

I made these golf ball cheesecake balls for my brother-in-law, Josh's, birthday.

Most of them I made vanilla so they would be white like most golf balls, but I couldn't resist making some chocolate ones too.  :)

More details to come... but for now... to make these cheesecake balls I basically followed the instructions found on Bakerella's site for her cheesecake pops.  Mine just ended up being golf balls instead of pops.  :)

Cupcake Bites - June 2011

I made these red velvet cupcake bites for my son, Caleb's, 3rd grade Math teacher.  I also experimented with making some regular-sized cupcakes look like the cupcake bites.

I had some extra cupcake bites so gave a plate of five each to the two room moms for Caleb's class, and a plate of five each to the two secretaries in the office.  Most of the extra ones were ones I had tried using different types of sprinkles on.

My daughter, Cara, wanted to give her teachers something as a thank you also, so I made a plate up of eight cupcake bites so she could give one to each.

The last plate of five that I made up from the extras was for my family and me to enjoy.  :)

Box of Chocolates Cake - May 2011

I made this box of chocolates cake for my daughter, Carissa's, Kindergarten teacher as a thank you for being such a great teacher.  The chocolates aren't candy though; I made some cake balls to look like chocolate candies.  :)
