I made this 3D R2-D2 cake for my son, Caleb's, 7th birthday. For the same party I also made him a lightsaber cake (see the This Weapon is Your Life post).
This R2-D2 cake was made practically the same way that I made an R2-D2 cheesecake a couple years before. See the post A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away....
